Vitiligo is a skin condition characterized by the loss of pigment in certain areas of the skin, resulting in white patches. The exact cause of vitiligo is not well understood, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic, autoimmune, and environmental factors. Here are some common symptoms and characteristics of vitiligo: White Patches: The most noticeable symptom of vitiligo is the presence of white or depigmented patches on the skin. These patches may vary in size and shape and can appear on any part of the body. Symmetrical Patterns: Vitiligo often develops symmetrically, meaning that corresponding areas on both sides of the body are affected in a similar way.
